Today’s blogging experience

Technically, I guess I could call it yesterday’s blogging experience since it is now 2:30 a.m. What am I doing up at this hour?

Briefly put, March 12th was a bad day in bloggers-land for me. Somehow, I managed to spend a total of about eight hours tweaking just ONE post. I was determined to work out the kinks in my post Daughters, part 1. I guess I couldn’t walk away from it for more than a couple of hours before getting lured back in because I felt like I’d wasted my day to no avail.

Despite the fact that I created said post in the same manner as every other one thus far, the formatting changed each time I saved a copy of my draft. Has anyone else out there ever had this experience? SO frustrating. I moved text and pictures around, re-wrote large portions, copied and pasted, read through the lines of formatted text and tweaked them a dozen times…no luck.

I even deleted the whole post and started over.

So, here I sit at 2:30 a.m. I finally worked through one small change at a time, viewing the end-result between each change. I guess it came out alright, but visually it is not what I had planned.

If anyone has something to share, I sure hope you will! I’d love to learn from your experience.

Thank you, and goodnight!

    • Haha! I might be, but I think I’m mostly just determined…beyond reason sometimes:/ It was such a jumbled mess that none of the wording lined up with any of the pictures, which were all lumped together in one part of the page. I’d spent so much time finding the pics to paste in the post that I was unwilling to give up. Some might argue that my determination borders on stubbornness, but what do they know? ;)

Thanks for not hitting the “like” button!
